Creating a

Substance Abuse Free Environment (SAFE) Program

In 1994, the SAFE Program was established by the Mark Kilroy Foundation.  As a community based drug and violence education prevention program for youth and families, it was formed with help from the foundation and a government grant.  For decades, the Mark Kilroy Foundation SAFE Program, in partnership with the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe and Hitchcock school districts, organizations, and private donors provided outreach services to the community and schools on a year-round basis, including free summer youth programs in the past.
